New Country Music Star Loves Deer and Deer Hunting

Fans of country music can find Easton Corbin on the radio, but the musician may also be found in the deer stand. The Nashville star grew up hunting whitetail in Gilchrist County, Fla.

Corbin, who gained critical acclaim with his hit “A Little More Country than That,” cited his rural background as part of the reason he took to the outdoor sports.

“I lived a mile from the Suwannee River,” he said in a release to Deer & Deer Hunting. “I grew up fishing on it and I loved to work on the farm. Every weekend, that’s where I’d be.”

And every fall, Corbin would be hunting deer. He continues to hunt despite moving to Nashville in 2006. Corbin typically uses a rifle.

His deer hunting passion isn’t unique to Nashville. Other country music hunters include Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Daryle Singletary, Troy Gentry, Rhett Akins, Andy Griggs, Aaron Tippin, Tracy Byrd, Billy Currington and Gary LeVox from Rascal Flats.
